Friday, 30th July, 2010 –
A delegation of ten Principals and Vice-Commissioners of Education from different Districts of South Korea, visited DPS Vasant Vihar (Jr. School, DPS R.K. Puram) on Friday, 30th July, 2010 to interact with and understand the working of the Junior school and the Indian system of education.
They were welcomed by the Principal Dr. D.R. Saini who spoke about the school profile and the importance of primary school education.
The delegates were impressed with the school infrastructure. They observed classroom teaching where children were engaged in creative hands-on activities.
The delegates showed a keeness to understand the concept of thematic, integrated teaching approach and the reasons that made Indians excel in computer and mathematical skills. They also interacted with the Headmistress and senior members of the staff.
The visit opened avenues for facilitating mutual exchange of ideas in latest educational strategies.

School Closed on 05-July-2010
Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram and its Junior Schools (DPS Vasant Vihar and DPS East of Kailash) will remain closed on Monday, 05-July-2010 for teachers and students.
